Jae Shin was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea until his move to the states during his teenage years, where he's since soaked up the California sun as well as the buzz of New York City. Working as an artist in the states, he notices his differences with the majority stakeholders in the field: in opportunities, in optics, in funding, voice, and purpose, and is constantly searching for a way to portray himself and those similar to him as real human beings instead of figureheads or concepts. He wishes to create and be viewed holistically, and actively fight the generalizations to which everyone so easily defaults.
He is an actor, musician, playwright, novelist, and visual artist, and he is always looking for fresh avenues to dabble and express. He speaks Korean and English. Jae graduated with a degree in Architectural Design from Yale University. He is obviously not doing that anymore.
